It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year. And while I may be a little biased about the whole thing (after all, my fiancé proposed last year on Christmas morning), I really do believe there’s just something extra cozy, magical, and fun about the holidays. I’m all for making the most out of this time of year, and for me, that includes a holiday morning routine.

Okay, so the thought of making an entire morning routine just for the holidays may feel a little… daunting, to say the least. Does one really need a specific morning routine exclusive to the holidays? Of course not. But are there little things you can add to your mornings to make them feel a little more special? You betcha.

The reality is that while the holidays may feel special and exciting, they can also feel pretty overwhelming, busy, and downright hectic, to list just a few. Doing something a little extra special for yourself in the morning may not magically make everything better and easier, but it can help to shift the focus onto yourself by doing something that makes you happy.

Today we’re looking at ways we can create a holiday morning routine vibe. What does that mean? Instead of plastering holiday-themed things everywhere, we’re focusing on harnessing the overall feel. Using textures, flavours, and colours to play off the essence of the holidays instead of the use of holiday-themed characters. Of course, do whatever you enjoy and what makes you happy – these are just options that can be used even after the holidays are over.

This post is shoppable, but I want to make something crystal clear. The holidays are incredibly expensive and commercialized. Use this post as inspo, pull from what you have, make adjustments where needed, thrift what you can, and prioritize your financial wellbeing. Use this post as 6 areas where you can focus on in order to create a holiday morning routine.
