Hey, I’m Danielle!

My very talented, beautiful, and determined cousin, Tasha asked me if I would like to write a blog post along the lines of self-love.  And of course, I said I would be happy to!

Firstly, I would like to tell you a little about myself.  Some of you may recognize me as one of the models of The Edited, however, that is not all I do.  I am also a first-year student at Brock taking Kinesiology, who is also passionate about working out, eating healthy, and having fun with my friends!!

Throughout my last year of high school everyone would ask me the question, “have you decided what you’re doing next year?”  It seemed like everyone I talked to would ask me that question, and I didn’t always know how to answer it because I didn’t know what I really wanted to do.

I was told I had three options after I graduated high school: going to post-secondary school, taking a victory lap, or working.

At the time I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, and I still have those thoughts all the time!!

It has been a dream of mine to become a physiotherapist and to open my own physio clinic, however, physiotherapy school is very competitive to get into.

It can be disappointing as students if it seems we don’t have the grades we need to pursue our dreams.  It is important as students to remember that your grades don’t define you, there is so much more to a person than their transcript or college application.

My Nana always told me to dream big and to shoot for the stars.  So that is my word of advice to you. If there is something you love doing, then do it.  Don’t let anyone tell you that you aren’t good enough, because that is bull. You got it dude!!!!
